  • Using Research Based Psychotherapy & Counselling Interventions

Using Research Based Psychotherapy & Counselling Interventions

Integrating Mind-Body Approaches to Therapy, increases the effectiveness. EFT-tapping, balancing the body’s energy systems with CBT, & DBT informed practice has shown improved results. Clients often give feedback, about experiencing rapid and long lasting improvements in their reduced worry, feeling less stressed out, and experience less negative thinking.

  • Kindness & Compassion Focused Mental Health Support.

Known for Authentic Compassion, and a balance with accountability for change to happen.

I'm known by many individuals to provide an authentic, "real human" based connection in therapy sessions, with a direct "say it like it is" style, that keeps individuals accountable to making changes they outline for themselves. You read that right, YEP, compassion, accountability, & authenticity enter each session.

The people that enjoy, benefit, and succeed from my counselling services are ready to engage in hard work, including self-reflection, exploring energy healing techniques, & are ready to partner with guided support leading to changes they desire. They are motivated to understand their situation at the root cause, and this helps them discover what keeps them stuck. By gaining and practicing new strategies, they feel more in control of how to improve their lives.

They also understand that change is possible without a magical cure in the first session, to make all their problems disappear. These individuals find positive outcomes with the results through the therapeutic process, recognizing change takes time, consistent effort, & collaboration for accountability and guidance in healing.

As a therapist I love to be authentically honest without judgment in my direct feedback approach. Engaging in creatively and collaboratively thinking outside the box to solve the problems that you bring to sessions is more often rewarding, than to see the actual outcomes of success in counselling.

Clients often share, that they appreciate my active validation and listening, as well as providing direct to the point feedback. My focus is on understanding the situation through your perspective, and then challenging you where appropriate to grow by maybe changing behavior patterns, or changing a perspective through reflective feedback, and holding space for the emotional processing to occur. The intention of this practice style is to teach you the skills, to take initiative in supporting yourself in managing day to day wherever possible.

Clients I support, often have in common a strong desire to move away from the repetitive internal voice criticizing them, telling them they are inadequate, & setting boundaries in relationships no longer serving them. This motivates them to be committed to practicing the skills learned in our joint sessions, at home in between sessions, finding more rapid relief.
